The City of Coral Gables has had an increasing problem with trash being placed on the parkway/swale in violation with City ordinances.

Section 54-153 of the City Code states that residents/occupants may place trash on the parkway/swale immediately abutting their property. Dumping trash on parkways/swales abutting other residents property is in violation of section 54-154 of the City Code and any one doing so will be given a Civil Citation with a fine of up to $500.00.

This section also states that resident/occupants of the City of Coral Gables shall deposit trash no earlier than 6:00 pm the day preceding the collection day. Again, anyone placing trash on the parkway/swale in violation of this section will be given a Civil Citation with a fine of up to $500.00.

Note: Yard cuttings and clippings may be placed on the parkway/swale any time during the week.
